There have been calls for sometime to get this section of road resurfaced – as it has been littered with pot holes for many years.
I am pleased to report that the stretch of the road from First Avenue end of Trinity Avenue to outside number 12 will be resurfaced starting next week.
Whilst this is not the full resurfacing of the stretch that I was hoping for; it is a start. I spoke with the lead Highways Officer, who will put in a bid for the next financial year to hopefully finish the job (April 2021 – April 2022).
In addition all existing potholes were surveyed in the last week and are down for patch repairs.
Certainly whilst progress is made – I will keep pressing until the whole stretch is resolved!
